Qualification exams are held in conjunction with the programs and under instructions issued and approved by the Federal Financial Markets Service of the Russian Federation.

A qualification certificate for securities market professionals is required in order to be employed by a company operating in the financial marketplace. It is compulsory for personnel who hold management and supervisory positions, as well as for experts dealing with securities, to possess a certificate.

A person who passes the specialized qualification exam will be issued an appropriate certificate filled in according to Federal Financial Markets Service regulations.

All certificates issued by the Federal Financial Markets Service/Federal Securities Market Commission (except cancelled ones) without a specified period of validity are valid indefinitely.

Information on the persons who received the certificates is placed in the registry of qualified individuals. The Federal Financial Markets Service of the Russian Federation is in charge of maintaining the registry.
